Coming to the UFR of Basic and Biomedical Sciences

We are glad to welcome you to the UFR of Basic and Biomedical Sciences at Université de Paris

Our UFR offers a complete range of multidisciplinary programs in biological sciences, chemistry and physics. All of our programs are oriented towards the health sector and they are all integrated with our world famous research laboratories in neurosciences, pharmacotoxicology and chemistry.

This orientation guide has been produced for students who are coming to study at our Faculty from outside France. It provides practical guidance on coming to live and study in Paris from an international student perspective and its intention is to complement other sources of guidance you are supposed to look for on your own.

When studying abroad, it is important that you develop your ability to find information and solutions by yourself. It is part of the experience. Catarina from Lisboa (Portugal) – ERASMUS+ for studies : Master BME

General description of your stay :

The semester started with an amazing integration of the biomedical students (Master BME) in a seminar in Champagne. The relationship between students and professors was good, and the professors were always available. The courses of the biomaterials track were very interesting and well lectured.

Pros & Cons :

I would have liked to have had more practical work in a lab, in the courses of tissue engineering for instance. However I only stayed one semester and my colleagues that stayed and did their master project, the following semester, had many positive experiences.

I improved the English language, as well as the French one.

This master has given me motivation to work in this area of research as a PhD student.
